Oven Sticky Ribs – Party Hit

Ribs are fantastic anytime and BBQ Brian knows ribs!  If you haven’t heard, he’s won the Worlds Best Ribs are From Canada.

With the Superbowl coming this weekend and well, much of North America still under snow cover, here’s a recipe that might hit the spot.  BBQ Brian says, “this is a recipe I made for the oven using our Sugar and Spice BBQ Sauce and thinking of Chinese-style sticky ribs I had as a kid”.

Making these ribs is easy.  You only need a couple of ingredients and they are sticky, a little bit spicy and always a stand out! The downside is that your party guests maybe begging you for the recipe!

Oven Sticky Ribs – Party Hit

Ingredients

  • 2-3 lbs Ribs – cut into individual bones
  • 1 1/2 Cups Water
  • 1/4 Cup Brown sugar
  • 1/4 Cup Soy sauce
  • 1/3 Cup House of Q Sugar and Spice add more for spicier ribs
  • 6-8 cloves Garlic – minced

Instructions

  • Start by removing the membrane off the back of the ribs and cutting them into individual bone portions. In a large mixing bowl, mix all the sauce ingredients together. Place the ribs in a roasting pan and pour the sauce all over the ribs. Cover the pan and place in a 350 F preheated oven. Roast, covered for one hour. Remove the lid, stir and continue cooking for about one more hour uncovered. Stir the ribs every 20 minutes. Once the sauce has reduced and become sticky, remove from the oven, let rest and eat.
