National Barbecue Association Awards of Excellence Results Announced
House of Q is really pleased to learn that in early April, 2022 they were awarded three ribbons for three of their products at the National Barbecue Association’s (NBBQA) Awards of Excellence in Fort Worth, Texas.
The NBBQA is a not-for-profit trade association focusing on all key segments of the barbecue and grilling industry. Their yearly Awards of Excellence competition judges’ products and brands from across Canada and the United States vying to be recognized for excellence in the North American barbeque industry.
House of Q entered six of their eleven products into the Awards of Excellence competition. At the conference awards ceremony they were awarded:
Fruit Sauce Category – Fifth Place for Apple Butter BBQ Sauce
Tomato Mild Sauce Category – Fourth Place for Five Star BBQ Sauce (awarded fifth in 2021)
Pork Rub Category – Fourth Place for Competition Rib Rub (new product in 2021)

The Five Star BBQ Sauce and the Competition Rib Rub are fairly new products for House of Q however very quickly they have become some of their most popular products. BBQ Brian lead his Pitmaster cook-team to a world championship in Las Vegas at the World Food Championships and has had a national best-selling cookbook. He has been seen on the Food Network Canada, Global TV BC since 2007 and featured for ten years on the Jeff O’Neil Show on CFOX Radio Vancouver. Previously based in Surrey, BC and since 2019 in Vernon the company has five different BBQ sauces, three BBQ rubs and three seasonings available in over 400 stores in Canada and 100-plus stores in USA.
