It really started as a hobby… you know, the weekend thing. BBQ Brian was all caught up cooking BBQ, learning how to use charcoal, understand flavour and his pal Glenn Erho joined in. Next thing you know, the duo was at a BBQ contest. They won awards and the people around them seemed proud as did Brian and Glenn. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Next thing you know was Apple Butter<\/a><\/strong>…. and everyone wanted it! In February, 2007 House of Q Foods Ltd <\/strong>was incorporated and the very first official day as a BBQ company was in the books. And then Apple Butter… it was manufactured and selling in stores. Then more stores. Meanwhile the cook team was awarded with even more awards. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then, suddenly, in 2022 we get to celebrate our 15th Anniversary! And we want you to celebrate with us!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are a few events planned as well as a social media contest where there are many prizes to be given away. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this session BBQ Brian and Glenn Erho will share stories reflecting on creation of the competition BBQ team, getting ready for the first contest and what it was like as a Canadian BBQ team competing in a traditional American sport. Even at their very first contest the cook team of BBQ Brian and Glenn Erho as House of Q won awards. In this session they will share two of the dishes they cooked for BBQ contests: pulled pork and their unique chicken entry. There were a few unique ingredients in the recipes and it’s time to share what they did and what the judges thought.
